Great to see old people in the Olympics.
Ok so I read an article about older athletes in the Olympics. Great to see old people in the Olympics. Too funny that in a world in which younger and younger people are being diagnosed with degenerative diseases older people are competing in the Olympics. I love the fact that in the world of Olympic sport the over 30 crowd is considered old. I just turned 48 today and I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been. With modern technologies and advances in nutrition we are able to keep athletes in the game but we can’t teach our youth the value of health and nutrition. Crazy isn’t it?
Athletes are surrounded by professionals that reprogram them to eat healthy, train smart, get plenty of rest, reduce mental stress and physical stress when not training, and more and more of them are adding USANA supplements to their diets. USANA has over 600 athletes on the products due in a large part to the fact they have an athlete guarantee and coaches and nutritionists are realizing we need to supplement our diets.
So why is it that we are not educating the general public about all of this? Well there are a few organizations and such that are trying. But for the most part we are unaware of the necessity to supplement with a good multivitamin and chelated mineral supplement. We will shove all kinds of processed crap into our bodies. So called foods full of chemicals, flavor enhancers, stabilizers, colorants, preservatives and who knows what else but we won’t take a supplement that is guaranteed for an Olympic athlete who receives the best of the best advice on health and nutrition. Or we will find the cheapest one we can thinking it will do the job.
Cheap supplements are like and other cheap product, just that, cheap. Give up the beer or junk food or drugs and alcohol and spend it on good food and nutrition. It’s just a matter of where your priorities are. Where would we be if we were denied medical attention if we couldn’t prove we treated our bodies well. I find it very strange how we are so easily mislead by our obsession with media and what they choose to tell us instead of doing our own research and reaching out the experts in nutrition. Not your doctor. Unless they choose to educate in nutrition which is highly unlikely with the amount of workload they carry. It’s not easy but worth it when you know what to feed the body to feel good and be healthy. Good nutrition can improve your physical and mental health and before you know you like eating healthy and exercising. I know you think it will never happen but it does happen. I see it all the time with my personal training business.
Dr. Oz is one of those people out to educate the public alongside USANA Health Sciences. A recent press release about the work they are doing together is below.

I started this blog to share my experience as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Leader with anyone who is willing to learn more about improving health and wellness. Yes I also use this blog to promote USANA and Network Marketing because I believe very strongly in both. You don’t need to be a part of either however to learn more about being healthier.
Use this blog and my website www.healthoutlook.usana.com to learn and spread the value of health and nutrition to everyone you love.
If you have healthy recipes or know of good sites that have a similar philosophy toward health as mine. Diet, exercise, Sleep, Stress management and Nutritional Supplementation.
