Nutritional Supplements

JUST TO BE SURE I HELP MY BODY AS MUCH AS I CAN, I TAKE NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS AS PART OF BEING BODY SMART.

MY EXPERIENCE & OPINION..

I know, I know. Touchy subject but I feel strongly enough and have had enough experience to at least express my opinion and share the results I’ve seen in myself, my family and my clients.

#1  OUR FOOD IS NOT AS NUTRITIOUS AS IT USED TO BE.

The production of food in factories, large scale farming along with harvesting, storage, transporting etc. has depleted the nutrient value of the foods we consume today.

#2  WE LIVE IN A MUCH MORE TOXIC WORLD THAN EVER BEFORE.

A. The Water we drink  is toxic

B. Air we breathe is toxic

C.  Soils are toxic and nutrient depleted

D. We plaster ourselves with toxic potions and lotions to moisturise, protect us from sun damage, and keep us youthful looking. We use toxic chemicals to clean ourselves, clothes and houses. We use even worse chemicals to kill weeds and unwanted insects and rodents.  These all end up in our bodies and who knows what damage they are really causing.

These all cause increased oxidative stress and good nutrition can help the body defend against the increased free radical damage this brings on.

#3  WE FACE MORE MORE STRESSES IN A DAY THAN WE DID A COUPLE OF DECADES  AGO.

Prolonged or chronic stress is one of the worst assaults on our body. Causing increased oxidative damage and weakening our immune system.

#4  WITH OUR BUSY LIVES WE DON’T…

…Grow our own food, cook our own meals, get enough sleep, relax enough, and get enough sun exposure or exercise. This in turn can deplete our nutrient stores and production in the body.

#5  WE EAT  and DRINK WAY TOO MUCH PROCESSED, TOXIC, NUTRITIONALLY DEPLETED SO CALLED FOODS.

We also tend to over cook, microwave, freeze and modify our food before we put it on the plate severely reducing or eliminating nutrient value.

It’s not all doom and gloom though.  If you follow the previous articles on Diet, Exercise, Sleep and Stress Management you can give yourself the best chance of living a long and enjoyable life.
