USANA and GMO

Question:  Are USANA Products Free of Genetically Modified Materials?

Answer:

USANA does not use genetically modified organisms (GMO) in its product line. USANA is committed to providing superior quality without compromise and this commitment includes sourcing materials known to be free of any genetic modification. USANA has voluntarily adhered to recognized methods to ensure its products are free of genetically modified materials, and USANA is currently in the process of adding additional, more stringent measures to guarantee its products continue to be free of genetically modified material.

Producing commercial non-GMO seeds, grains, and food products requires preserving the non–GMO identity of such products through every stage of production. As a result, systems of identity preservation (IP) have become increasingly important. IP is a process of maintaining the segregation and documenting the identity of an agricultural product. USANA has chosen to use identity-preserved materials in its product line, including soy protein, so we can guarantee it is GMO-free. Additionally, with USANA now operating in the European Union, our products are held accountable to the strictest GMO laws in the world.

USANA customers can enjoy our products with confidence, knowing we are 100 percent committed to improving human health. That commitment includes sourcing materials known to be free of any genetic modification.
